ARIA Mobile · FAQ
Frequently asked questions about ARIA Mobile.
What industrial buyers, IT teams, and production managers ask most often about ARIA Mobile: integration, security, deployment, roadmap. If your question isn't here, let's talk.
Which platforms is it available on?
iOS and Android, plus a responsive web app usable from any modern mobile browser. Push notifications require the native app.
Does it work without a constant connection?
Real-time views need a connection. For essential operational features (batch confirmations, andon) a degraded mode queues actions and syncs them when the network is back. The PLC remains the single source of truth: no critical write is confirmed until synchronization succeeds.
How do line operators authenticate?
Personal numeric PIN or NFC badge. Short sessions with automatic re-login at shift change. Per-operator audit on every action. Supervisors and managers can also use corporate SSO.
Do push notifications cross the OT firewall?
Push notifications go out via the standard iOS/Android provider over the IT network, not OT. ARIA Mobile talks to the platform's data gateway — exposed in a controlled way (VPN, reverse proxy, or dedicated gateway depending on the customer policy).
Can I disable operational features and leave only dashboards?
Yes. Per role you can enable or disable: dashboards, push alarms, andon dispatch, batch confirmations, picking. Hierarchical configuration per installation and per user.
Is there a per-user cost?
Pricing depends on the installation. Typically bundled with SCADA, optionally tiered by the number of active operational users. We'll structure it for you during the assessment.
